Doxbridge Itinerary

Monday

We’re off! Bags packed and ready to go, so it’s time for the coach journey to the port and ferry crossing (3 and a bit hours in the bar is always a good start) across the Irish Sea to Dublin. You’ve a short transfer – only about 25 minutes – into downtown Dublin ready to check into your hostel accommodation in the heart of the city. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and shops too if you’re looking for provisions. Time to get dressed up and head out to the Doxbridge Welcome Party at one of our featured hotspots in the city!

Tuesday

Grab a packed breakfast from the hostel before heading out around the corner to take a short transfer to the local sports venue in the city. All of the venues are just a short drive from the centre so you’ll soon be appreciating that this is one of the great advantages of the Doxbridge experience! The first day of competition gets under way at some of Dublin’s finest sports facilities and our team of experienced officials will ensure the smooth running of all the events. For our ‘Party Package’ groups, there’s loads of fun to enjoy in the city or a selection of leisure activities on offer. By the evening, it will be time to head for Boomerang nightclub in the heart of Temple Bar – an annual Doxbridge favourite!

Wednesday

The sports tournaments and games continue. A visit to the Guinness Storehouse is a great way to pass some free time and you can learn how they make the black stuff before sampling some yourself of course! If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, then there are special student package menus available at the Hard Rock Café and other selected venues in town. Just ask us to point you in the right direction. The themed party action tonight is in the Zanzibar nightclub, which creates an awesome atmosphere that everyone just seems to love year after year.

Thursday

Finals for those taking it seriously (see individual sports for details). There will still be some free time to experience the sights and sounds of the city for everyone else! Dublin is a city packed with history, culture, literature and pubs of course. As there are over 1,000 pubs in the city, there’s absolutely no excuse for not enjoying the local ‘craic’ and sampling all the great things this vibrant city has to offer. It’s Doxbridge presentation night so there will be plenty of trophies up for grabs! Enjoy your last night out on the town.

Friday

It's an early start so you’ll need to pack your bags and check out with a hangover. Still, there’s no 24 hour coach journey to endure, so after your return ferry back across the water, you’ll soon be back home once again with memories to last a lifetime.
