Destination

Take the ferry from Holyhead to Dublin and you'll be across the Irish Sea in a little over 3 hours and arrive fresh and ready to party! All the Dublinfest accommodation is smack bang in the middle of Dublin, so all the great pubs and clubs of the city are here on your doorstep. The local 'craic' is legendary of course in Ireland's capital city so you'll be charmed by the local hospitality. Here you can sample 1,000 years of culture, food, drink, verse and song in Ireland's capital city. The sports facilities are awesome as you'd expect with a strong local tradition in rugby and a passion for sporting competition. The splendid UCD sports complex hosts many of the sports events, whilst the Athletic Union League (AUL) hosts lacrosse and football on immaculate grass pitches. Dublin's a fantastic festival city with a wonderful student appeal - and its right here across the water.

Entertainment

Lloret de Mar

The nightlife here is legendary. Our exclusive party nights are based at some of the very best venues in town and in recent years have included Dublin Citi Bar, Andrews Lane Theatre, Lafayette and Play! Your Dublinfest wristband ensures not only free nightclub entries of course, but fantastic deals on drinks as well.

We always negotiate the very best prices for our student teams - and you won't be disappointed! Away from the club there are plenty of pubs to choose from in and around Temple Bar and lots of restaurants too whether it's fast food or a la carte you're after!

accommodation

You'll be staying in the heart of downtown Dublin in one of the student-friendly hostels. They are all within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs and clubs. Most of these are contracted by us on an exclusivity basis each year.

The rooms are simple but comfortable, with typically 2-10 persons sharing a small dorm. A packed breakfast can be provided in the morning and there are plenty of good restaurants and shops nearby for provisions. Wherever you stay, as everything is close at hand, you'll never have too far to stagger back from the bars at the end of the evening.

Excursions

Lloret de Mar

As a busy capital city, Dublin has everything from the cinema to theatre, golf to bowling, darts to dance. There's history and culture in abundance. If you fancy making a reservation with your team, then here are some ideas:

Guinness Storehouse

The leading visitor attraction in Ireland, the core of the Guinness Storehouse building is modelled on a giant pint glass, stretching up from reception on the ground floor to The Gravity Bar in the sky. If filled, this giant pint would hold approximately 14.3 million pints of Guinness. Well, that's something to think about as you enjoy a drink and a panoramic view of the city.

Aviva Stadium Tour

The Aviva stadium is the home of Irish Rugby, Irish Football and plays host to many concerts and exhibitions throughout the year. The Aviva stadium tour is more than just a sports stadium and covers all areas including sport, history, science, sustainability and sports management.

This one hour experience gives you a full behind the scenes tour of one of the UK's tops stadiums where you will be given the opportunity to visit areas usually only occupied by players and officials. From the home team dressing room, to the players tunnel and media centre, this really is a tour not to be missed.

Reps

Lloret de Mar

Our excellent team of reps will do everything they can to ensure you have a wonderful time on tour. In addition to our team of professional sports tournaments organisers and officials, our social and welfare reps in resort will be on hand in the hostels, bars and clubs.

All our reps are trained and paid, so you can rest assured that they are not just here for a holiday. As many of them return year after year, we know that your tour is in very good hands indeed!

Itinerary

MONDAY 30TH MARCH

We're off! Bags packed and ready to go, so it's time for the coach journey to the port and ferry crossing across the Irish Sea to Dublin. You've a short transfer - only about 25 minutes - into downtown Dublin ready to check into your hostel accommodation in the heart of the city. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and shops too if you're looking for provisions. Time to get dressed up and head out to the Dublinfest Welcome Party at one of our featured hotpots in the city!

TUESDAY 31ST MARCH

Grab some breakfast before heading out around the corner to take a short transfer to the local sports venue in the city. All of the venues are just a short drive from the centre so you'll soon be appreciating that this is one of the great advantages of the Dublinfest experience! The first day of sport gets under way at some of Dublin's finest facilities. With 10 fields all on site, the fantastic AUL complex hosts the Lacrosse and Football fixtures while the other sports all have great facilities too. Our experienced team in resort will ensure everything runs smoothly. For our 'Party Package' groups, there's loads of fun to enjoy in the city or a selection of leisure activities on offer. By the evening, it will be time to head for one of our featured nightclubs in the heart of Temple Bar!

WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL

A visit to the Guinness Storehouse is a great way to pass some free time if you are not playing sport today and you can learn how they make the black stuff before sampling some yourself of course! If you're looking for somewhere to eat, then there are special student package menus available at the Hard Rock Cafè and other selected venues in town. Just ask us to point you in the right direction. Tomorrow is home time so make sure you prepare yourself for our final night party

THURSDAY 2ND APRIL

As with all good things this too must come to an end. Up bright and early, pack those bags (which you meant to do before bed) and check out for your return journey home. Still there is no 24 hours sat on a coach for you, and after your return ferry back across the water you will soon be back home once again with some great memories.
